We're Home!

"You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Psalm 118: 28-29

I am very happy to report........COY IS HOME! Sorry for the delay in posting for those who have been checking all day---I didn't have time! All I have to say is "WOW! I'm tired!" Last night (Thursday) Chris and I did "Care by Parent" at the hospital...this was the first time we were Coy's "caretakers" all day & night...it was a very long, but awesome night....

This afternoon we said our bittersweet goodbyes to the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff in the NICU and made, what seemed like forever, our drive home!

We are settling in and are adjusting to having a baby in the house! Today was so surreal. Words can't describe how I am feeling right now.

Please continue to pray for us...pray for all of us to adjust to home life! Pray for Coy to breathe, eat, sleep, pee, poop, and grow...

We are so overwhelmed by all of your love and support!

Here are a few pics from today.......
Leaving the hospital...

We're HOME!

Welcome Home Coy!!!! After staying up until 1:15 am CST looking for your "We're Home" post - I finally went to bed, but was soooooooooooo GLAD to see that you are home. Coy will probably be very glad to be in his own home, quiet, lots of attention, and where he belongs! I cannot wait to see him grow, continue to prove doctors wrong, and enter the "terrible twos!" He is adorable! Hallelujah!

Welcome home Coy!!! How wonderful it must be to have him home with you both and be able to feel like a family all together. Now you get to experience the joys of all nighters like the rest of us (hahaha). We will continue to pray for Coy's continued healing, his strength and for him to keep growing!!! We will also be praying for you and Chris and your strength. God Bless you guys!! Congrats on being HOME!!

Coy is a very lucky little boy to be surrounded by such a loving family whose faith has been so strong and unwavering through all the ups and downs. I will pray for you and Coy, that he will continue to grow and mature and that you will all settle into a routine. Cherish him and eachother. God has truly blessed you all and worked miracles in your little boy! Please continue to post so that we can all see his progress. I love reading your blog and all the pictures!
Love and best wishes!

Chris and Ann Marie - God has heard and answered your prayers. Baby Coy has brought so many of us closer to God, he has helped us to remember a reason to pray every day! I am thankful that you have been a part of my life (even though you don't know me, now I feel honored to know you!), and look forward to hearing how baby Coy is growing in grace and strength, and becoming the young man God intends for him to be! God has and will continue to do wondrous things through your little man!

I have kept up with all of your progress through Aunt Veniece and of course Kathy's emails. Words can't express the joy I have for all of you. I reported in my Sunday School Class about Coy's homecoming. You should have seen the smiles. Many have been following your blog and were aware of the homecoming. They have been praying all along as we have and are not surprised by God's amazing love and His miracles. You all will be in our continued prayers. Know that we love you and look forward to the day we can see all of you. Until that time comes we wish you a very smooth transition from the hospital to home. Love always, Deniece

Chris and ree...
I just now got back in college station, from being in colorado for spring break. I knew coy was coming home on friday, but was so upset i couldn't read the blog. The first thing I did when i walked in the door was come to my computer and read the words "we're home!" I busted into tears. Maybe it's because I am tired from a 19 hour car ride, but i think it's because now i can say it...

This is God's victory, and I am so glad so many of us can rejoice in it with yall!

Love yall both so much! He's home! he's home! he's home!

-Todd

We are so HAPPY for you guys. I have been keeping up with your blog; a friend of mine shared it with me. Sorry we never got to say good buy, but Vincent was discharged on March 1st. He too is doing very well. It is hard to believe "our" due date of March 28th is nearing in a short 10 days. Who would have thought!?! Our family will con't to pray for y'all. God Bless,
Anne & Brian
