Eye Surgery Tonight - Prayers Please

Coy had his eye exam about an hour ago and we did not get the results we were hoping for. His condition has worsened so he will have eye surgery this evening. We are told that the surgery could last from 2-4 hours. Please pray for the doctor that will be performing this surgery. Please pray that the surgery will be a success and Coy will have no long term problems with his eyesight.

He will go back on the ventilator for the surgery so please pray that he will be able to come off the ventilator with no problems shortly after surgery.

This is not what we were hoping for but this is what Coy's eyes need. We are hopeful that they detected the problem early and can prevent any further complications.

Thanks everyone!!!

I will be praying for him this evening. You too, I know how the waiting can be hard.

I'm praying that you will feel God right there with you just like I know Coy is feeling!

We will definitely be praying for your son, his doctors precision with those tiny vessels, and that Coy will recover quickly back to the CPAP.

Our prayers are with Coy, the doctors and Coy's incredible parents. He is a precious angel and is so lucky to have such wonderful parents. May God bless you always.

We are praying for Coy, that his surgery goes well, that his transition back to the CPAP is quick, that he is pain free, that his eyesight is perfect with no long term problems. May you all feel God’s presence at this time.

My prayers continue to be with all of you during these joyful yet difficult days. As Mom to a former 24 weeker, Brandon (who is now 8 years old), I understand your fear, grief, joy, worry and pride when you look at your little guy. I remember those days like they were yesterday. I wish I had the answers for why we experience struggles like this but I don't. I can say that you are doing a wonderful job advocating for Coy in the NICU and giving him all of the love and comfort that you can. I truly believe that he knows you are there and can sense your strength. I will be praying for his eyes and his heart to be healed. I will also pray for God to give you and your husband peace, comfort and strength for the daily challenges you face along with Coy.

Dear Chris and AnnMarie,
I heard about Coy and his prayer need from my son through a Rice U.
blog. I am committed to keep all 3
of you in my prayers and before the
Throne of Grace of our Lord Jesus.
Our Lord is the healer and is our
Peace. I placed you on our Faith
Lutheran prayer chain and gave them
this blog site, so we can keep up
with all your and Coy's specific
needs. God Is Able!
Love in Christ,
Mary Hackerman

I will pray for your little angel and also for both of you. Our God is a Great and Incredible God. He will hold Coy in the palm of his hand when the doctor will do the surgery tonight. Praise the Lord that the eye Doctor saw the problem early, so she can take care of it right away. I will also pray for a fast healing and recovery.

Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
You are forgiving ang good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, listen to my cry for mercy.
In the day of my trouble I will call to you and you will answer me.
Psalm 86:3-7

May everyone who reads this blog pray without ceasing for Coy and his family. The parents are GODly people. The closer we get to GOD, the more Satan is allowed to do to us (look at Job). I believe that Coy will recover and will be a mighty warrior in GOD's army. Romans 8:28 tells us that "All things work together for good to those who love The LORD and are the called according to HIS purpose". HE didn't say "some things", HE said, "all things". Let's believe that and claim that this experience will be all to the Glory of GOD. To Coy's parents: I do not know you, but I love you, and I am praying for you. You are not alone in this. Many people are there for you in spirit, in love, and in prayer. May The HOLY SPIRIT comfort you continually . In CHRIST JESUS, Anita
