Prayers please!

We just heard for Coy's nurse this morning...
She said he had a "good" night and is currently sleeping!
He is continuing to tolerate his feedings----PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS CONTINUES! Please pray against an infection called NEC that effects the GI tract in these little ones...
Coy had a blood gas drawn last night that wasn't as good as previous ones....this caused them to increase his vent setting to 55 bpm from 45. Please pray that God continues to mature his lungs & allows him to exhale all the CO2 out of his little body! Please pray the Lord heals his mighty lungs--that he will be able to take in all the O2 he needs!
Also, between 10-14 days, Coy will have a Head U/S that will scan for bleeding in his brain---we need to ask God to keep Coy's brain free of bleeding! God can move the mountains & we have to believe!
We're also praying that God closed Coy's PDA (hole in his heart that closes at birth with term babies); we don't know the status of this yet, however many micro premie's require surgery to correct this hole that is suppose to close on it's own. Please ask God to close this hole; he is our mighty healer!
We believe and we know you do to! Thanks for all the prayers & support! Praise God for all he's given to us!

Paul and I tear up every time we get an update on Coy. We are so happy to hear he is doing so well with his feedings. I think back to how hard it was to leave the hospital without the twins last year when they arrived prematurely on December 4th, to not be able to hold or touch them at first, or do simple things like changing the first diaper. I had to realize that it is not My Will Be Done, but Thy Will Be Done and through him ALL things are possible.

God truly blessed our babies and we know he will bless Coy as well. Please know that so many people are praying for him. Enjoy every moment with him and with one another.

Aunt Betsy and family wish Coy all the luck. We know that he is going to come thru this fine, after all look who his parents are. You know that if you need a ride that I am always heading in that direction and would love the company for the ride. Call my cell if you need anything I am most likely down the hall somewhere. We are praying for you all.

My prayers are with you and your family, especially your precious son Coy. I work for my father-in-law who is an Oncologist, and I learned several important lessons. They are: miracles do happen, and the body carries amazing strength.

Chris and Ann Marie, We have never met but wanted to let you know that I am praying for Coy and your family during this time. I have a nine month old son myself and know everyday with your baby is precious. I have faith that God will grant Coy the strength to overcome his medical battles - sounds like he's a fighter already - and that's GREAT!

May the peace that passes all understanding be yours. For our God is mighty and good!

With love and prayers from a stranger,
Katie

Hi, my name is Liz. I received an email from my cousin about Coy. I will be praying for him and your family. In times of hardship I like to remind myself that All things are possible through Christ Jesus. My friend has a little girl with CHARGE disease and they use a website called Caring Bridge to update family and friends. You can also get in touch with parents that are in your same situation. It is a great site. The main site is caringbridge.org. The site for my friends little girl is caringbridge.org/visit/jadynfultz.I hope you can fine strength in knowing you are not allow. There are others out there that are struggling and God is always on your side. One of my favorite quotes in by Pasty Clairmout, "Normal is just a setting on your dryer."

Love & Prayers,
Liz

"The Will of God will never take you were the Grace of God will not protect you."

Hey you two -

Just want you to know I'm spreading The Word like wild fire for your miracle child. So far, I've got 4 prayer circles at bat for Coy!

It's pretty cool that in just one week, it's so obvious me, and everyone else I'm sure, what terrific parents you are... God bless you for that.

Thinking and praying about your little family,

Ashley Anderson

Ann Marie and Chris,
Chelsea Burleson passed your blog on to me. You and your precious son are in my prayers. The Lord is our refuge and he hears our prayers. Praise the Lord for answering so many already! Know I will be praying for his healing hand to be on Coy and for his comfort for you two (Psalm 62:5).

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14

In Him,
Amy (Bromley) Owen

Chris & Ann Marie - you all are amazing! what wonderful parents you have become in such a short unexpected amount of time. we know why coy came early as God is showing us that daily with your witness, faith and the love for your son, family and friends-even people you have never met! God has revealed himself to you, and mostly to others, in this difficult time and that is one of the many blessings that have come from this early birthday.

the hodo family will continue to lift up your family to the Lord in prayer asking him for protection, health and healing of Coy and for peace, comfort and endurance for you all as the Holy Spirit takes you through each step of every day. We love you and are so proud of you - lori hodo

I want to first say how much I truly admire the strength and courage you both have show through this time.

Every time I pass the nursery at work, I honestly stop and say a prayer for your beautiful baby boy Coy. I have a tremendous amount of faith in knowing that he will pull through this and grow up to be strong and absolutely amazing, just like his parents.

My most sincere prayers and lots of love to you both and of course to precious Coy.

My husband Shawn and I just brought home our own miracle, Jaxson, who was born at 30 weeks in August. Jaxson is now 7 weeks adjusted (past his due date of Oct 25). Like Ann Marie, my water broke early, but I was not "diagnosed" until 2 days later. Luckily, I did not get an infection and we were able to keep him in for 2 days while I received steroid shots for his lungs. He was born 2 days later at 2 lb 13 oz. Reading your blog brought me to tears as we went through so much of what you are now going through. I am amazed at your strength and faith, and I PRAY for little Coy to keep making progress... and I pray for mom and dad, I know how hard it is. I want you to know I will continue to pray for all of you, it really does make a difference. I am so happy that Coy is tolerating mom's milk... keep on "pumping"... it's the best thing we can do as mommies. Just today Jaxson smiled at me and we played "peek-a-boo" (as I "pumped") for the first time. :) I pray that you are able to do the same someday soon. Keep the faith, you have a beautiful little boy!!! If you need any advice or support, I am here. anniem222@hotmail.com (Reyne Ruchti's niece-in-law)
