deep breath

I've been taking lots of those lately. Partly due to the fact that I'm so out of shape (after laying in a bed for almost 10 weeks), but mainly because I'm so, so thankful to be almost 28 weeks. It is just overwhelming.

Not everyday is a 'good day'....some days I am still emotional and have a hard time getting through. It's not that I'm not thankful on those days, but the pregnancy hormones, the 8 weeks of Magnesium, feeling trapped in this room, being human, and missing my boys all come to a head at times. Good news is that those days are fewer and father between.

Two of my favorite verses recently are Ephesians 3:20 & Luke 1:37, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine" and "For nothing is impossible with God."
Whenever I have doubt or fear, when this journey seems never-ending, when I get negative and down, I take a deep breath and remind myself of these truths. What a relief to know God is good and always present to carry me through the hard days (and good ones, too).

I did something yesterday that I have not allowed myself to do the past 28 weeks. I shopped online for baby girl clothes! I bought her two cute little outfits from Baby Gap and two bows from Etsy. I literally had not bought her one thing....not a blanket, not a onesie, no furniture, or bedding. I have been waiting until I felt ready and finally this weekend, I was ready.

And, don't worry....it won't take me long to make up for lost time! I can shop with the best of them. Next on the agenda is a double stroller (anyone have one they love? recommendations? advice?), nursery furniture, and bedding. Oh man, this is gonna be fun! =)

Guess who came to visit his Baby sister and momma this weekend? This guy....

....my cuddle bug, snuggle love who loves to play in his sand box.

Thanks for all your love and support. I love reading your comments and emails! It brightens my day and gives me strength. We are so blessed.

Prayers and praise for 28 weeks! I will have a growth scan sometime this week; I will let you know how it goes!

Ann-Marie - That's awesome! I think you'll make it to 35 weeks and possibly more!!! I have the Phil and Ted's double. My boys are 2.5 yrs apart. Everyone asks about the back seat and who'd want to sit there? I always ask Julian if he wants front or back and he mostly picks back seat. The baby could care less. LOL. He's just content to be strollin'. I tested the Macleran double side by side. Very lt. wt. and easy to fold. I almost bought that one if it wasn't for the power of veto by my husband. He was right b/c of the walks to the parks and stuff. The P&T holds up better. Plus I rcv. a bunch of compliments on it.

Hi AnnMarie - I am Tim Sanchez's cousin. I met you briefly at Ryder's 1st bday party. I have been following your blog forever and praying for all of you! I have a dear friend in Houston that makes the most amazing custom baby bedding. Here is the link to her website: www.jacquelynreese.com. She is super helpful and creative and will work with any fabric you like. She can even send you fabric samples to look at! Take a look! Anyway, I hope things continue to go well and I'll keep praying for you and Cydney. Take care!

Congrats on making it this far. You go Cydney Marie! Hang in there. Hugs to you for the times you feel down.

The best baby item I've ever owned is the sit n' stand. Coy can sit in the back and baby Cydney can sit in the front, there is a carrier adapter. It's more compact than the doubles and I LOVE it. Good luck!

Thank you, Lord for 28 WEEKS- AMAZING! We have the Graco Quattro Duo Stroller-- it has seats for "big kids" to sit in, but a baby carrier can pop in either seat as well. I think the seats hold up to 40-50 lbs? It's a front to back double and it's heavy, BUT I really like it- it's easy to maneuver... well minus the fact that I'm a bit clumsy... and doors are hard, but that;s with any double- ha! :) Hang in there- you're doing awesome! I know your hubby and baby boy are so proud of your strength!

I stumbled across your blog and am amazed at your journeys. I can't imagine being in bed that long...I think any thing you're feeling is more than normal. I am sure you already know this as you've had a tiny premie, but every day they are inside you is one less day in NICU!
On a different note, I have a B.O.B. double jogger and I love it! I also have a front and back graco and it is pretty good too. The bob double can hold a baby car seat in one side which is nice for going on walks with little newborns!
Good luck!

WOW, 28wks!!! You are doing awesome, once again. We used the sit'n stand stroller, it was amazing. If I would have known how great it was, then I would have never bought our double stroller(they are so hard to push, because the heavier child sits in the front). When are they going to let you go back home? Or are you confined to the hospital thru the remainder of your pregnancy?

Hey! We have the Baby Trend sit and stand and we love it because Bryce can get in and out easily of the back. Coy MAY be too small for that...but it is something to consider as he gets bigger and wants to sit in a "big boy" stroller!

Hi Ann Marie,

I have been following your blog since I first heard about Coy from my good friend Tracey (her son Jaymin was a 27 weeker) and I posted a couple times early on. I have been praying for you and your family and am amazed at your strength and courage. Hang in there it sounds like you are doing great! Oh and we just had our 2nd baby and I got the BOB double stroller. I love it!! I am a runner so I am looking forward to using it for that but for now it is great for walks anywhere and both kids are comfortable. Its kind of spendy but to me sooo worth it for the piece of mind it brings me to get out of the house! Take care!
