We are the proud parents of a 23 week micro preemie, Coy, born December 3rd, 2007. He weighed 1 lb 4 oz and was 12.5 inches long at birth. He is now an energetic, healthy, happy toddler that keeps us on our toes!
On July 17, 2009 we were blessed to welcome, Cydney, after 14 weeks of hospital bedrest. Born at 34 weeks gestation, she spent 12 days in the NICU.
We are so grateful for your love, support, and prayers throughout our struggles and we are rejoicing in the goodness of our God.
Thank you for continuing to follow our journey.
im so glad you guys get to spend Easter as a family, rather than in the hospital setting. Praise God. he is beautiful. i just love knowing he is home with you guys..e ven if it is interfering with your sleep. :)
He is getting so big by the day... beautiful... I can not wait to finally meet him... Probably tomorrow... We will have the day off and surely we want to stop by... we sent our love The Penaloza's
Hope you had/ have a wonderful Easter. I cannot believe that Coy is 5lbs!!! What a miracle. Mommyhood is hard and tiring, but it does get easier. You have an extra challenge with all the monitors and gear, so be gracious to yourself and each other. I am a mom of 3 and each had a "schedule", but man do I wish I held them more, so snuggle and hold all you want and don't worry about any of that yet. Babies are teachable beings at all stages!! Hope you guys are getting a little sleep here and there. Thanks for all the updates and pictures. I love seeing little Coy thriving!!
just wanted you to know that my 2 older kids just came in a begged to see pictures of Coy!! It is wonderful to be able to show them How God had provided for you all. They get so excited to pray for him and then see him almost daily online!!
What a cutie!!! I love the chubby cheeks! Coy looks like he is so happy and comfortable at home now! You guys are doing an amazing job... hang in there, the lack of sleep does get better (and then somehow you kind-of forget how hard it was!)... Happy Easter!
Yeahhh Coy,looking good little man, still praying for you and your mommy and daddy. May you all be blessed for your faithfullness. Happy Easter Blessings to you. julia
I knew he was a cutie pie from the first picture posted. Oh my, he's such a little heartbreaker already! Glad you had a blessed Easter at home WITH COY!!!! Love from Nebraska!
I'm so happy for the both of you that Coy is home. I'm so thankful to God for his love and grace that he put his loving arms around Coy and has protected him all this time. Coy is truly a blessing from God to you both and he has been continualy in our prayers. He is just a beautiful baby. Much love from the Schorrs
PRECIOUS! Happy Easter you three!! I am so happy y'all are home and enjoying such a glorious day outside of the hospital! Coy's 1st holiday at home...one for the baby book!!
I have to comment in regards to your 5lb post!! If I can offer any advice it would be too not worry one bit about holding him too much or not putting him down. These moments pass sooo quickly and in a matter of time he'll be running all over the place not wanting to slow down for a hug!! Hold him, cuddle him, enjoy every second of him!! They grow and you never get these days back. I wish I would have held JD more because he's all boy and from the time he was 6 monmths he no longered wanted to be cuddled. MacKenzie is 5 months and I still can't put her down at times. Sorry to post a novel...I just remember those feelings of not wanting to "spoil" them...I just wish someone would ahve told me with my first to worry less about that and more about enjoying every second of their first few months~
