We were blessed to have a wonderful Thanksgiving with our families and we have SO much to be thankful for! We were cautious with Coy and everyone was awesome and respected our boundaries---I can't wait for the day when we can let our guard down and everyone can love on him.
We ate lots of all the good stuff and Coy even enjoyed some sweet potatoes! I made a Peanut butter/chocolate mousse pie that was a hit! This was a relief since I don't usually make things for others to eat...it's a lot of pressure when you're not good in the kitchen! =)
Coy is growing up by the minute. He loves crawling all over the house and is pulling-up on anything he can find. He LOVES to stand up and his Grandmothers think he'll be walking in no time! It is lots of work to keep up with him, but we are loving every second.
This time last year, I was in the hospital on bed rest trying to keep Coy in with all my might. I really can't believe it's already been a year since he was born. I am becoming increasingly emotional at his upcoming birthday--all the feelings, memories, and emotions of that time plus the overwhelming gratitude and thankfulness of where we are today is a lot to digest.
I am just so thankful for all God's gifts. My 1 lb 4 oz baby is now a 17 lb 8 oz little man. We are so blessed.
Enough of that...here are some pics from this weekend...

random stuff
We have just been hanging out lately...playing, playing, and more playing. Coy has now mastered crawling and can get ANYWHERE in the house. Sometimes I feel like he is the Energizer Bunny....he just never stops! He definitely has more energy than me, however, he does usually take 2 naps per day. Thank goodness for that!
He is currently cutting his 3rd tooth...one of the top front teeth. I know this can make babies very uncomfortable, and it seems to hold true with Coy. I have noticed a pattern with teething in that he doesn't seem to eat as well. He loves his baby food, however, he takes less milk when teething. We have also started him on Gerber puffs, crackers, Cheerios, and juice through his sippy cup. He loves all of it! I really can't wait until he eats "real" food and we're done with bottles and formula. Last time we saw the GI doctor, he said it'd probably be closer to his corrected 1 year (March) before we'll switch him to whole milk.
Here are some pictures I took of Coy this morning...

Look what I can do ....
Coy crawled over to the couch and pulled up all by himself today! Of course, he was a little wobbly when he got there, so I was right there to help him out. As you can see, our two dogs were there waiting as well. Coy loves to play with them and they love him right back! Oh, the fun begins!
Here is another random cute picture...

Doesn't he look so mature??
I don't have too much to say, but wanted to share these photos I took the other day. I swear he matured during his afternoon nap; I put him to sleep a baby, and he woke up a toddler!

Crawling Coy!
I finally was able to video some of Coy's crawling. He is getting more expert by the minute and increasing his speed as well. He went from our living room rug all the way to the kitchen, in chase of the dogs of course! He also pulled up twice on our coffee table and once in his crib (don't worry, we are lowering his bed)! He has so much energy and is so happy. He's always laughing or smiling or playing. He is keeping us busy!

This is really silly, but I had to share. I thought it was funny (for now)!

....and he's off!
Coy has done it...he's learned to crawl! He is loving that he can move and get to things...he seems to always go for stuff that he shouldn't have! Can you say, baby-proofing? =)
He was lying on his back in his room while I got his bath ready...when I came back in a few seconds later, I found this....
